We counsel lenders, real estate developers and municipalities on the acquisition of the properties with environmental concerns, advising them on how to minimize their potential liabilities, and how to comply with any land use restrictions or controls left in place after a remedial action has been completed. We also assist clients in obtaining easements, rights-of-way, access and indemnification agreements and obtaining and complying with the terms and conditions of required environmental permits.

 

Ms. Mangone is known nationally for her work on numerous high-profile, high value environmental settlements, with an aggregate value of more than $200 million.  While the Firm focuses on environmental issues, Ms. Mangone has spent the last 30 years honing her skills in the fine art of drafting and negotiating contract terms in many contexts. The Firm's contract work related to real estate transactions, development agreements, employment contracts and professional athletes' representation and sponsorship agreements.  

We rely on our over founder's 30+ years of experience as an enforcement attorney at all levels of government.  Ms. Mangone has litigated numerous CERCLA cost recovery actions in the federal district court and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, Clean Water Act administrative actions before EPA Administrative Law judges, WQARF, AHWMA and UST, and contract matters in the Maricopa County Superior Court  and numerous Code enforcement,  civil and criminal misdemeanor matters before justice and municipal courts.

Ms. Mangone has spent five years representing the City of Glendale at Personnel Board Hearings and defending the City on all federal EEOC and Arizona Civil Rights charges.  She also assists City departments on drafting and implementing personnel policies and practices.  Prior to joining the City, Ms. Mangone also served as  a Hearing Officer for the City of Phoenix Civil Service Board, Gila River Indian Community Human Resources Department and Maricopa County Merit System Commission.
